The Rotary Club of Bombay Airport Installs 50th AED at Mumbai’s Parel Station In Collaboration With Schiller India

The Rotary Club of Bombay Airport has taken a significant step towards enhancing Mumbai’s emergency response infrastructure. In collaboration with Schiller India, after successfully installing 49 Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) across various high-footfall railway stations in Mumbai, Rotary Club of Bombay Airport has now completed its 50th installation at Parel railway station using FRED® PA-1.

This life-saving initiative, which has now equipped multiple high-footfall railway stations across Mumbai with advanced AED units, is part of an ongoing mission to combat sudden cardiac arrests in public spaces. The project is driven by the vision and leadership of Dr. Akshay Mehta, President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Airport and a prominent Interventional Cardiologist, who has been instrumental in bringing this program to life.

Each installation of the FRED® PA-1 AED by Schiller India ensures that rapid cardiac emergency response is within reach, even before medical professionals arrive. With its user-friendly interface and automatic analysis capabilities, the device empowers bystanders to take immediate action during the crucial first few minutes of a cardiac arrest.

“Our goal is not only to provide reliable emergency equipment but also to build a culture of preparedness and confidence in the community. With each AED installation, we bring timely intervention closer to those who need it the most,” said Vikram Sanghvi (MD & CEO), Schiller India.
